Color Wheel Fun!

๐ŸŒˆ Want an easy way to promote interaction with food? We have you covered! One of our favorite tool-box items for feeding therapy is this simple color wheel!

๐ŸŒˆ We have had kids go from inching out of their chair when a food is presented to happily plopping it on the matching color of this wheel when given the chance!

๐ŸŒˆ We sort our foods into the rainbow colors and anything that doesnโ€™t โ€œmatchโ€ is placed in the middle. While sorting can entertain briefly, we rounded up a list of our favorite ideas to complete with this wheel so that you can create a whole food activity out of this:

๐ŸŒˆ Instead of sorting with your hands, try sorting with your elbow or nose [if your little is ready!]
๐ŸŒˆ Try stacking up food in the middle and see which color space it all topples into when it falls down.
๐ŸŒˆ Try finding food with two different colors and attempt to sort the parts into different spots.
๐ŸŒˆ Hop the food around the circle with music in the background like musical chairs and see which color everyone lands on when the music stops.
๐ŸŒˆ Have it all sorted? Count how many pieces of food are in each color section.

๐Ÿ’ก Pro-Tip: We laminated ours to make for easy clean up!
